Hey Boo, pun intended,

It's October and I'm doing alright. The great thing about working retail in a corporation during an economic downturn, they never take it in stride and it's all my fault for not selling things hard enough.

In my case, they might have a point but they are blaming all the salesmen. It's a conspiracy, we did it on purpose.

The sales front thing still has me worried. The credit card companies seem to be waiting it out but in the background it doesn't seem like less censorship is happening.

In an unrelated thought experiment, on the dual stats of developed places to live, what country is the most free?

As in the least censorship that still has AC and stable internet. No wrong answers, show your work.

PROGRESS
I always have a very folksy impulse to say things are going good. (I wrote gooning as a typo.) It's fine all the time. That's why I like throwing out the numbers.

I'm always going to assume that things will take less time than reality. No matter how fast I work, I'm going to assume I should be going faster. And I will always be able to find people who are somehow harsher than I am.

Here's the numbers. I might have stayed up extra late getting that edited number over the next hundred. When the goal is in thousands, hundreds don't feel real. Like this month and last month feels like there has been no improvement because it's still over one thousand and less than two thousand.

Next comes alpha testing. Make up renders. Then beta/back releases on discord before work starts on the steam version.

The battle continues. Who would have thought the people who handle money have a bunch of money to sit things out. This is the status quo for a while. Inch has adopted the guidelines of a weak activist group under vague threat of payment processors that won't put anything in writing.

Itchio will not host incest or psudo-incest, aka, people living in a house

The petitions to make any government take a stand or deny payment processors the censorship role that they command from the obscurity of the network of companies that make credit cards work.

All this is assuming that the puritans in charge of several countries don't explicitly or vaguely ban more types of adult material.

Steam has not banned any level of people living in a house. What they have done is say you can't post stuff the paypros don't like. They are not letting content updates of adult games in early access. The theory is they don't want to review for sexual content that wasn't described up front. They are allowing dlc which can possibly be free.

There's always the patch/mod route, which I would have to learn how to do. I put several explicit sentences in the game that a word replace mod would completely mess up because I thought it was funny and figured someone else would make the patch.

"I carried you in my womb and gave birth to you, tennent."

The thought I am currently entertaining is that incest is just people in a house with extra 'steps'. After the name thing, I let people choose if they want every relation detail.

"These are people who lived in the same house and grew up together. They consider each other family and call each other as such. Do you want to read details about their relationships?"

Then, that activates a variable that leaves in annoying details like "You're really my step brother." "You may be adopted but I housed you." or "I was pregnant but it was one of the 20% that miscarry."

It's there for the people who want it. It shouldn't annoy the people who don't want it. And, for the examiners that look at the code, it will be the cannon story. No patch required.

Release Plan
How I ran my itch early access and was planning to run the steam was bump up the game price every update.

So, the content that I wanted to add before releasing on steam will push it outside of early access. Then I can keep my current trend of increasing the base games price and making the dlcs free or keeping the base game low and charging three or four bucks for each dlc.

The thing to me is I see DLC as extra to the core experience. I see three dollars as a micro transaction for something that is skippable. Then, I also see the possibility of people buying the dlc out of order, which seems like a tech support nightmare.

There is also space where I could only charge for the most recent DLC and let it be free after the newest chapter. Which, I could see as a possibility if I hire help, like an animator or another artist. They would get paid a hire percentage from the newest DLC chapter instead of a smaller percentage of the base game.

HALO REWARDS
I've been replaying Halo.

I may have seen some youtube videos and it might have made an impression on me. There were some cringe takes. I know nostalgia is a factor but I don't need some zoomer or the dumbest person in any room, where they are not alone, to tell me anything about Halo. I was at the midnight release for Halo 3. I got the stupid helmet when my friend decided they didn't want it anymore. I showed my friends grifball.

I didn't have an original xbox. So, a lot of my early-early memories are founded in the multiplier and coop sessions with friends and at boyscouts. I didn't know about the flood for like a year after release.

Cortana is fun. She has a great voice actor and I'm not impartial to hot naked digital women. I know there is a bunch of extra lore and background garbage about human brain scans but I like the thought of Cortana choosing to be a sexy woman.

AI's don't have bodies, the can be whatever they like, similar to spren in Stormlight Archive. They could just be a light or shifting geometric shapes. Cortana decided to be a naked chick, breasts natural and set apart, and really test the limit of whatever chemicals Master Chief's suit uses to keep him from popping a boner every time he gets a multikill. That codpiece is the most worn part of his suit.

Now, that I have invoked whatever perfect image you have of Cortana, here's my version which probably won't stand up. :p
