Howdy, Hi, Hello, Boo

I gave my cat a bath today. She didn't appreciate it but she needed it.
The bummer about giving a cat a bath, who hates baths, other then the process of trapping them in a bathtub and trying to wash them, is that they have tiny, little bodies and just don't deal great with being wet. So, you have to dry them and hold them in a towel or the little things will get sick. Of course, they hate that step too.
I like to take my space heater and get the bathroom extra warm ahead of time so that I don't have to hold her for as long and I just have to worry less about the thing being too cold.
No more of this. Apparently, I don't shut up in this one.

Baskin: All-In The Family is my next Game!
With 29% of the vote and an eleven-point lead over CO Caramelization, Baskin All-in is our winner! I am pumped. Thank you everyone who gave my games a shot and voted. I put a lot of thought into each and getting the Demo Disk out in itself felt like a great accomplishment in itself. I'm really thankful for all the positive comments and curious people who asked me questions about everything and I hope you are all excited about the next game.

It's a little sad too
Part of me is sad that I'll be passing on from some characters. Maybe it was the work and the excitement of the demos and trying to keep all the systems running that made me not feel it until now. But I'm going to miss writing and working with the Graces. I love these models. They were some of my first favorites. The Kayla model is perplexing in many ways because I see it all over, even though it keeps getting taken down from the marketplace. I feel pretty proud that I don't see it used in quite the same way that I used her.

I think I know why some people just make the same game forever.

Grace was the runner-up for the overall best girl. I don't think she outright one any of the weeks but she was voted for enough that she got second overall, which is one of the things I love about rank choice as a voting system. Grace was originally going to be the whole game. It was going to end behind that bench, her parting with whatever words the player chose. Then it was going to be onto the next project.

I don't know how long that was the plan. After listening to a poem on existence. Before people expressed confusion about the themes and story. Definitely not after launch but it was probably about the time that I fell in love with Luna DeLuca with red hair.

Best Girl
This week's best girl AND THE OVERALL BEST GIRL IS BEATRICE. Bea, the big sister who always interrupts your fun, was everyone's favorite this week and the favorite overall. So, I'm taking the chance to highlight Selena this week, too. She came in second place thanks to rank-choice magic.

Last week's best girl was Grace!
I talked about Grace last week but I'm really happy with how her story turned out. I just love this model too. Do other devs thank their models and characters? Part of me was a little disappointed that Luna DeLuca was just the base Georgia model but that part shut the hell up when I suffocated it out of the excitement of using it. There is so much character in this model. I'm very glad I chose it.
