Romancing the Sun

Date and find love or the sun goes out. Feel the world close and intense, a bad date might be the end of the world. 

The player character is half out of (his/her/their) senior year of high school when a shared dream with Grandma lets them know that someone in the family must be in love or the sun will go out.

Love is totally the kind of thing you rush under pressure. Best friends, parties, personal obligations, and looming exes couldn't possibly be a problem.

Gameplay

The main gameplay feature is choice and information gathering. Choosing one path may close off another but dangerous choices may yield insight into characters' thoughts and pasts.

Multiple endings are planned but the game over scenarios are already waiting.

Dawn

Dawn is a high school graduate that most people forgot. Her motivation runs off of fumes from the energy that she used to have. She manages to keep up appearances in front of her parents and aggressively goal-oriented friend Conney.

Build a relationship with Dawn, the people around her, and the community to pull through the blinking sun crisis.

Conney

Conney Avond is Dawn's best friend, who has gotten very busy preparing for her future to the detriment of her friendships and she urges everyone else to do the same.
No relationships. No distractions.
If Conney doesn't like the player, it results in a game over.

Future Plans

For phase one of the game's development, we are going to focus on one love interest, Dawn. It is very important to us that we finish the game and have a complete story to it and that another love interest has a unique story from meeting to romance, dating, complications, love, and solar shenanigans.
