I was hit by the Iowa Derecho Hurricane. Work has continued
My city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa might have taken the worst hit from the Derecho thunderstorm that had winds from 115-160 mph. I went without power for eleven days and even the cell towers were knocked out for the first few days.
I uploaded my experience on twitter. https://twitter.com/ray_thought/status/1293724297907900421?s=20
I only took boring insurance photos and here is a photo my friend took.
Fun fact. That eleven day power outage was not great for my creativity.
I'm back on track now. I made some assets earlier and finished three parallel scenes.
Rendering is weird.
Words 5k/18k
scenes 3/13
assets 5/90
My goal was to have the writing done this month but I don't think I am going to make it unless I really get into the flow over the next few days. The later exciting riot storylines are filling my head, especially with the first hand disaster experience that I know. But the first two acts are very important but hopefully fun and interesting, if I do my job right.
For scale chapter one is about three thousand words. Chapter two is planned to be quite the chunk of gameplay and should give a good feeling of the game overall.
